2. We Search Our Network
Our team checks our private seller and consignor network, upcoming consignments, and trusted industry contacts for a match — including pieces that haven't been publicly listed yet.

3. We Verify Authenticity
Every sourced item is authenticated through LegitGrails before it's offered to you, the same 100% authenticity guarantee that applies to everything we sell.

4. You Decide
When we find a match, we'll send you photos, pricing, and condition details. There's no obligation to purchase — it's your call.

No. Submitting a sourcing request is completely free, and there is no obligation to purchase if we find a match.

If you choose to proceed with a piece we source specifically for you, a sourcing fee is applied to the purchase price:

Items up to $5,000: 20% sourcing fee
Items over $5,000: 15% sourcing fee

The sourcing fee covers the time and expertise involved in researching, locating, negotiating and securing your requested piece, as well as coordinating authentication and delivery.

You’ll always receive the full purchase price and sourcing fee upfront before you commit to purchasing.

It depends on how rare the piece is. Popular current styles can sometimes be found within days; discontinued, vintage, or highly sought-after pieces may take longer. We'll keep you updated throughout.

We'll let you know if a search isn't progressing, and we can suggest close alternatives if you're open to them. Your request also stays active, so we'll reach out if a match comes up later.

Yes. Every item we source is authenticated through LegitGrails before it is sent to you, in line with the same authentication standard we apply across all Aimée Maison listings.

For high-value pieces, such as Hermès, we take an additional level of care and utilise both LegitGrails and LegitApp as part of our authentication process. You’ll also receive an authentication certificate with your sourced piece for your records.

No. We'll send you full details and pricing first, and the decision to proceed is entirely yours.

For high-value sourcing requests, yes. We may request a valid form of government-issued photo identification to verify your identity before we commence the sourcing process. This is a standard precaution for high-value transactions and helps us protect both our clients and Aimée Maison throughout the sourcing journey. Any information provided will be handled securely and in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Yes. Once we’ve found a piece that matches your sourcing request and you’ve confirmed that you’d like us to secure it, a deposit is required.

Our deposit is calculated based on the purchase price of the item:

20% deposit: items under $5,000
50% deposit: items over $5,000

The deposit is used to secure the item on your behalf and forms part of the total purchase price. It is not an additional fee.

Because the luxury resale market moves quickly, we can only secure an item once the deposit has been received. Until then, the item remains available to other buyers and we cannot guarantee that it will still be available.

Once you’ve approved the item, we’ll send you an invoice for the required deposit.

We recommend paying the invoice promptly, as sourced pieces can sell quickly. If another buyer purchases the item before your deposit is received, we may no longer be able to secure it and your invoice will be cancelled.

Once the item arrives at Aimée Maison and has completed our authentication and inspection process, we’ll send you an invoice for the remaining balance, which is to be paid within 7 days of issue.

The remaining balance must be paid within 7 days of the final invoice being issued.

If payment is not received within this period, we reserve the right to cancel the order and retain the deposit to cover the costs associated with sourcing and securing the item.

If you anticipate needing additional time, please contact us before the 7-day period expires and we’ll do our best to assist.

Because sourced pieces are purchased or secured specifically on your behalf, deposits are non-refundable once the item has been secured, except where Aimée Maison is unable to fulfil the order.

We will always provide you with the details of the specific piece, including photographs and condition information where available, before requesting your deposit.

Yes, vintage and discontinued styles are some of the most common requests we receive, and where our network is especially useful.
